Martin Style 00-28, Indian Rosewood and Sitka spruce

This guitar is inspired by the Martin 00-28. Style 28 means that it is a rosewood guitar with ivoroid binding, backstrip, and end graft. The back that has an extraordinary amount of curl in the upper bout (see the images). The bolt-on neck is mahogany with a Macassar ebony fingerboard and Cocobolo pyramid bridge. The neck is 1 11/16" at the nut. The bridge pins are plastic (there is no end pin installed), and the tuners are made by Ping. In the style of the famous Clarence White D-28, this guitar departs from Style 28 in that it has no fingerboard inlay (just side markers). This all gives the guitar a nice, clean look. The guitar is a hair deeper than a standard 00, and (also in the Clarence White D-28 style) the sound hole is a little oversized. This gives it a blues-like voice.
